More than sixty artists and makers take over the Museum of Making, with demonstrations in everything from ceramics and embroidery to letterpress printing, robotics and metalwork, and a nudge for you to have a go at making something yourself.

Emily Holtom will be typing personalised poems on a vintage typewriter for whoever is standing in front of her, and Kids Invent Stuff run drop-in activities for the little ones. Last entry is 3:30pm.

Our very own Bronagh visited The Garden Cafe at Breedon Priory for the first time this week and is already planning a return visit. She loved the cosy interior, welcoming staff and delicious lunch, while the bakery counter looked seriously tempting.

The star of the show, though, was the sticky toffee pudding, which she described as unreal. Consider this your sign to switch up your usual lunch routine, and whatever you do, leave room for dessert.
