The Hans Family bring their Oktoberfest cabaret show to the Market Hall in full costume, with traditional songs, comedy and plenty of audience participation, and Deep Down Brass turn Saturday afternoon into a Bavarian beer hall.

The kids can make paper hats, floral headbands, pretzel cut-outs and paper Bavarian outfits to take home, while the traders do German food and Caffe Prosecco and Market Porter run a pop-up bar for everyone old enough to need one!

The Castle Inn is a great shout for Sunday lunch if you want something hearty. The roast of the day comes with Yorkshire pudding, roast garlic potatoes, stuffing and red wine gravy, and there is a vegan roast too.

Midweek, Wednesday is steak night, a sharing platter for two with a bottle of wine. Otherwise it is wood-fired pizzas and pub classics, and the salt and pepper squid with garlic aioli is the starter to beat.

The whole farm park is open for the autumn weekends, with animals to meet, a pedal go-kart track, Bale Mountain to climb and a brand new bouncy pillow. There is a Wizarding Ball too, thrown several times a day by ghosts who decided once a year was not enough.

Your ticket covers Pumpkin Village and the picking, though the pumpkin itself costs extra. Book ahead, and write off the rest of the afternoon!
