Mile Junkies call themselves "not your average running club", and starting the evening with a DJ set rather than a stretch backs that up. Daytona takes over Electric Daisy's garden from 4pm, the run sets off at 6:30pm, and the real training is for the bit afterwards back at the bar.

It's free, all paces welcome, and nobody's checking your Strava. Little Vic's Deli will be doing a pop-up from 5pm too, for anyone who needs fuel first!

The Brasserie at Darleys has become one of Derby's favourite places to eat, built around great steaks, from a ribeye to a whole Tomahawk. The showpiece dish, a Roasted Lobster Thermidor finished with cognac, tarragon and aged Gruyère, is one of the best plates in the city.

Sunday roasts run from rump of beef to butternut squash and roast cauliflower, and Saturday's Bottomless Brunch, a dish and ninety minutes of unlimited drinks, is best shared with the whole table!

The Hans Family bring their Oktoberfest cabaret to the Market Hall in full costume, with traditional songs, comedy and plenty of audience participation, and Deep Down Brass turn Saturday afternoon into a Bavarian beer hall.

The kids can make paper hats and floral headbands, while Caffe Prosecco and Market Porter run a pop-up bar for everyone old enough to need one!
