Morning! Derby’s biggest summer tradition is ready to take the stage. The Darley Park Concert returns on Sunday, filling the park with Sinfonia Viva, movie themes, classical favourites, and a firework finale under the stars. Alongside the main event, there’s paint night at Carnero Lounge, live tribute shows at Derby Cathedral and The Hairy Dog, and plenty of local fairs to keep your week lively.

Join Local Welcome for their next monthly community meal in Derby on Sunday 7th September. You’ll be cooking a healthy vegetarian dish from scratch with others in your local community. Whether you’ve always lived here or you’re new to the area, you’ll be welcomed at the table.

The meals are a chance to turn your values into action, make friends, and learn recipes that are easy and tasty. All dishes are vegetarian, can be adapted for dietary needs, and include full allergen information.

You don’t need to bring anything. Just book your place and come along. You might start cooking with strangers, but you’ll end up eating with friends.
