Hop aboard for a gentle cruise down the River Derwent with the Derby and Sandiacre Canal Trust. Setting off from Causey Bridge, you’ll float past Darley Park and the Museum of Making, with onboard commentary sharing bits of Derby’s history, river wildlife and more.

There’s an open-air deck for sunny day lounging, drinks and snacks on board, and kids’ challenges to keep them busy. Cruises run regularly, but spots go quick, best to book early unless you fancy trying your luck on the day.
