Morning! The week ahead is a full sprint into Christmas. Chaddesden is throwing a street party with penguins, cakes and enough stalls to empty your bank account before you even reach Santa. Midweek brings everything from tree lights and pottery to Dracula readings and full orchestra concerts that make you wonder if you’re underdressed. By the weekend you’ve got ice rinks, markets, sip and paint sessions, live shows and more festive gatherings than anyone with a job can reasonably attend.

Chaddesden is kicking off its Christmas Festival with enough penguins, stalls and sugar to keep the whole area awake until January. You get rides, hot food, live music and cakes that look medically unsafe in the best way. Inside is packed, outside is packed and Santa appears so often you start to question his work life balance.

The Little Kitchen has been feeding people properly for a decade and still turns out breakfasts that could fix most life problems.
