Morning! Father's Day weekend this Saturday and Great Northern Classics is putting on a free morning with classic cars, breakfast, and a room full of dads pointing at engines.

Also this week, the Vintage Fair is at Derby Market Hall across the weekend, free entry, two days of other people's old stuff you'll somehow leave carrying. And Friday night is the OperaBabes charity concert at Derby Cathedral for First Steps ED.

Great Northern Classics is putting on a Father's Day morning event on Saturday with breakfast, lunch from noon, and plenty of classic cars under one roof.

Free entry, no booking needed, and a rare opportunity to take Dad somewhere specifically designed around things he can point at and tell you facts about.

Just turn up and prepare to hear the phrase "they don't make them like that anymore" at least three times.

The Vintage Fair is back at Derby Market Hall for the weekend, collectors, dealers and independent traders all in, with antiques, nostalgic keepsakes, collectable pieces and the kind of finds that take some explaining when you get them home.

Two days, free entry, and the beautiful surroundings of the Market Hall to wander round while you do it. The sort of weekend where you go in for a look and leave carrying something wrapped in newspaper that immediately becomes your new favourite thing.

The OperaBabes bring their charity concert to Derby Cathedral on Friday evening in support of First Steps ED, joined by the Dalesman Male Voice Choir, A Choir'd Taste, Ecclesbourne School Choir and James Roberson.

It's a serious lineup in a venue that already sounds impressive before anyone sings a note. Add in voices that can fill a cathedral without a microphone and you've got a pretty special Friday night.

Tickets start from £11, with proceeds supporting a genuinely worthwhile cause.
