Thursday’s a good one for parents with the Papaya tech talk at Woodlands School, Friday’s got Nicco’s International Women’s Day lunch if you want something a bit special, then Saturday is full tilt with GNC’s birthday car meet in the morning and loads of workshops, markets, and night plans running right through. GNC is turning two and they’re doing the sensible thing: getting everyone to bring their car so you can all stand around nodding at bonnets like it’s a language. There’ll be music on, food on site, and cake, which is obviously the real headline. Tram Shed Cafe’s doing a special menu for the day, breakfast bits first, then lunch from 12:00 PM. Free entry and parking, so you’ve got no excuse.

If your household arguments currently include the phrases “five more minutes” and “put it down”, this is worth an evening. It’s a straight talking parent session on safer tech use with CAMHs specialist Dr Laura Spells, followed by a panel discussion with the Woodlands headteacher and Positive Social. BSL interpreted, parking on site, and access friendly. Refreshments are on as well, so you can at least get a biscuit while you work out how you’re meant to compete with TikTok.

A clothed life drawing session in a really nice setting, with a breakfast break halfway through so it feels more like a morning plan than a class. You’ll work through quick gesture sketches, fashion poses, and longer studies, so beginners won’t feel thrown in at the deep end. Paper and pencils are provided, and you can bring your own kit if you’ve got favourites.
