Morning! The first Sadler Gate Spring Market of the year lands this Saturday, thirty-plus stalls running the length of the street, live entertainment, and the cafes and bars all open if you fancy lunch midway through. Bring a tote bag.

Also this weekend, the Derbyshire Food, Drink & Gift Fair is at Elvaston Castle Showground across both Saturday and Sunday. And we've got two free tickets to The Last Laugh Comedy Club at Vaillant Live on the 29th of May up for grabs. Just enter your email and you're in.

The Sadler Gate Spring Market is back for the first event of the year, thirty-plus artisan stalls running from the top of Sadler Gate down to Electric Daisy, live entertainment, and activities for the kids. Free to walk around and the cafes, bars and restaurants are all open if you fancy lunch midway through.

First market of the year on Sadler Gate, which means at least one person will buy a candle they don't need and call it a treat.

Little Vics Deli on Victoria Street is doing artisan bread, hefty fillings, and a menu where the names sound like they belong on a New York street corner. The New York Dip is the headline act, with pesto chicken, hot honey ranch, and a falafel and slaw that holds its own.

This month's special is a Korean BBQ fried chicken sandwich, buttermilk fried chicken, Korean BBQ glaze, Asian slaw, pickles and Yoshida mayo. Limited time only, and judging by his Instagram video on it, you'll want to get in before it's gone!

A weekend of food and drink at Elvaston Castle Showground, two days where you can have cheese for breakfast and call it research. Local producers turning up with pies, chocolates, gin, preserves, rustic bread, and the type of cake that ruins your week's diet in one slice!

Twelve live bands across the weekend, with the bar conveniently right next to the music tent. There's street food, kids' rides, a free circus skills workshop in case you fancy juggling between cheese stops, and a children's theatre stage.
