Morning! Simon Reeve brings his UK tour To The Ends Of The Earth to Vaillant Live on Saturday night, two hours of stories from a man who's been to over 130 countries and seen things most of us can't even spell.

Also this Saturday, Crescendo Choir's annual charity concert at Derby Cathedral with full orchestral backing and proceeds going to Derbyshire Mind, and a two hour glass painting workshop at the Market Hall for £35 if you want a Saturday night that ends with you holding a framed piece of artwork instead of a kebab!

Simon Reeve brings his UK tour To The Ends Of The Earth to Vaillant Live on Saturday night. Two hours of stories from a man who’s visited more than 130 countries while most of us still haven’t recovered from the stress of Ryanair boarding gates.

There’ll be behind-the-scenes footage, huge travel stories, stunning imagery, and the sort of honest storytelling that makes you briefly consider quitting everything to go backpacking, before remembering you get annoyed when your phone signal drops for six minutes.

Run by a husband and wife duo bringing Greek Cypriot family cooking into Duffield, built on recipes passed through family kitchens and a way of cooking that doesn't really cut corners or slow down for effect.

Breakfast brings Greek sausages, halloumi, smashed avo, and food that arrives without much easing in. Later it moves into meze: dips, grilled meats, warm pitta, and dishes that come out faster than anyone agrees on sharing.

Crescendo Choir's annual charity concert lands at Derby Cathedral on Saturday night, mixing pop classics from the last fifty years with full orchestral backing from Derby Orchestral Society and St. Joseph's Academy School Choir.

It starts as "I'll just listen" and ends with you quietly mouthing lyrics you forgot you knew. All proceeds go to Derbyshire Mind.

Wild Garden Cam is running a two-hour glass painting workshop at Derby Market Hall on Saturday night. Pick something you love, paint it onto glass, frame it, then spend the next few months pointing at it whenever anyone visits your house.

All materials are included, no experience needed, and it's the sort of Saturday night that ends with you carrying home handmade artwork instead of chips and mild regret.

Booking is essential too, because it turns out quite a lot of people enjoy drinking wine while pretending they're naturally artistic.
