Join Local Welcome for their next monthly community meal in Derby on Sunday 7th December. You’ll be cooking a healthy vegetarian dish from scratch with others in your local community. Whether you’ve always lived here or you’re new to the area, you’ll be welcomed at the table.

The meals are a chance to turn your values into action, make friends, and learn recipes that are easy and tasty. All dishes are vegetarian, can be adapted for dietary needs, and include full allergen information.

You don’t need to bring anything. Just book your place and come along. You might start cooking with strangers, but you’ll end up eating with friends.

Compassionate Derby is back, and it is the most wholesome day out you’ll have without wearing matching fleeces. Vegan treats, eco gifts, animal rescues, cookery demos, talks, workshops and at least three stalls that make you say “I really should live better” while eating something you can’t pronounce. It is packed, warm, friendly and full of people trying to save the planet one sample at a time.
