Tapas @ No 2 in Melbourne has been doing world tapas since before it was everywhere, and the menu shows it. Long enough to argue over, good enough that it doesn't matter what you pick. The slow cooked duck leg with cabbage, bacon and apple is the one to order. The gambas with saffron rice, peas and alioli runs it close. Moroccan chicken skewers, crispy cod with honey alioli, pork belly with chorizo in a brava sauce.

Bowie by Candlelight brings the David Live tribute show to Derby Cathedral on Friday, with Starman, Life on Mars, Let's Dance, Rebel Rebel and plenty more played beneath a thousand candles. The band has been touring for nearly 20 years and was even asked to step in when the real Bowie pulled out of a Lord March party, which is a fairly impressive reference for a tribute act.

Derby Computer Museum runs its BYOB retro gaming night on Friday, roughly 60 hands-on machines from the 70s, 80s and 90s to play to your heart's content, with a live DJ spinning house and dance while you do it. Bring your own drinks, bring your own food, bring the specific childhood memory of never once completing the game you're about to lose to again.
