Morning! This weekend’s got plenty going on. Mind Body Spirit Weekend is on, and it’s worth a reminder because it gets busy, two full days of stalls, readers, crystals, plus talks and workshops running all day.

Saturday also has the family friendly St Patrick’s Day party at Electric Daisy, and Artcore’s opening Craftcore, a new ceramic studio space, with the free launch on Friday and pottery classes on Saturday if you want to get your hands on clay.

Sunday has plenty of Mother’s Day plans, from lunches and afternoon teas to family days out.

The Boot is the place you book when you want dinner handled by someone who clearly cares. It’s a 17th century coaching inn in Repton, so you get the history with your pint, then you open the menu and realise you’re in safer hands than most city spots.

Head Chef Liam Waddingham runs the kitchen, with Two Rosettes on the wall, Boot Beer on tap, and food that hits the spot without getting pretentious. Get a table, take your time and leave happy!

Paddy’s Day, but family friendly. There’s live music from Rum Cartel, street food, a bar, crafting and a mud kitchen for the kids, plus free face painting and free toasted marshmallows.

Adults get Guinness and Caffrey’s Black Stout, kids get glittery faces, and everyone goes home smelling faintly of smoke and happiness. Tickets are running low.

Artcore’s opening Craftcore, a public ceramic studio, so you can finally have a go at clay without turning your kitchen into a crime scene. Swing by the launch, have a nose round the studio, meet the team, and see what’s on offer, drop ins, courses, group sessions, and throwing experiences.

If you want to go straight from “that looks fun” to actually doing it, pottery classes run the next day too (Sat 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM) with Kathryn Borg, £30 with materials and glazing included.
