Morning! This weekend has a baby and children’s market at Pride Park on Saturday morning with sixty stalls of nearly new gear. The Dark Arts Market takes over the Wardwick Museum across both days with forty-plus gothic and alternative creators, free entry, and things you won’t find anywhere else this weekend.

Sunday has the Farmers’ Market at the Market Hall and the Comedy Store at Derby Theatre in the evening if you want to finish the weekend on a high.

The Elephant and Peacock pub in Milford has an Indian kitchen and a menu worth making the drive for. Starters run from lamb chops with mustard oil to prawn tokri in a crispy poppadom basket. Mains cover Goan vindaloo with pork, Keralan king prawns in coconut and curry leaves, and Amritsari fish and chips with masala mushy peas.

The chocolate chai brownie with cardamom and ginger is the dessert that makes you glad you left room. Set menus from £25 per head. Sunday roasts from noon alongside the full curry menu.
