Things To Do This Weekend: The Duffield Makers Market, A Pottery Workshop And a Farmers Market On Sunday!
Morning! The one we flagged on Monday has turned up at last, with the Farmers Market landing on Sunday for a full day of local traders and “yes I do cook” ingredients.
Saturday and Sunday brings the Makers Market in Duffield plus Burns Night plans for anyone keen on a little tartan theatre without the effort.
Add a free drawing session at Elvaston Castle and a clay mushroom workshop on Sunday morning, and the weekend has options that get you out the house and leave you feeling mildly impressive.

A hands on pottery session making a trio of hanging mushroom bells using recycled clay. You shape them, decorate them with colour, then leave them with the studio to be fired, glazed, and strung.
Six to eight weeks later you collect your finished set ready to hang up at home or in the garden. Aprons are provided, but wear something you do not mind getting messy. No spectators in the studio, and long nails will make it harder than it needs to be.
